FAQ's
DO I HAVE TO BE A TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO PARTCIPATE? Yes. In order to be eligible for rewards, all participants must have their Transylvania University Athletics Crimson Crazies app account profile fully filled out.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A SMARTPHONE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE? Yes. All participants must have a smart-device with either the Transylvania University Athletics Crimson Crazies iPhone Application, Android Application, or come to this site and select the “Register Now” button for those users with other smart-devices to register and check-in.
HOW DO I GET POINTS FOR ATTENDING TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC EVENTS? Download your respective version of the application that is compatible with your smart-phone. Once you register through the application you will click on events to find the event you are attending and click “Check In”. Your points will automatically be awarded to you upon a successful check-in.
HOW DO I “CHECK-IN” TO EVENTS? Open the Transylvania University Athletics Crimson Crazies app, choose the event you’re attending, and click on the “Check In To This Event.” Once you check-in the points will automatically be rewarded to you.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN I UNLOCK AN AWARD? All awards list what is needed to unlock them on the awards tab on the application. Once you hit the required threshold for a particular award it will automatically unlock for you and you will receive a pop-up notification with a congratulatory message with further instructions on how to redeem and/or where to pick up your award
HOW DO THE POINTS WORK?
Once you hit a particular number of points it will unlock an award, if you redeem the award then you will go back to zero. If you do NOT redeem the award then you can go for more points and different prizes.
Example – Jane Doe reaches 10 points and receives a notification that she has unlocked a prize. She decides she would like to reach a different prize so she allows her points to continue to accumulate for the next prize level and claims her award.
DO I GET THE SAME POINTS FOR ALL THE GAMES? Each coach has picked 2 contests that very important to their team (i.e., conference rival) as is senior night. Going to those events are worth 5 points. This may also include contests that are off-campus. You will get bonus points if you attend contests where the team in playing in the conference tournament or NCAA tournament. You may also get bonus points for participating in social media as part of contests
HOW WILL LEVEL FIVE WORK?
Once you are at level five (50 points), you will win a Transy athletic hoody as well as be entered into a drawing for raffle prizes. If once you hit 50 points you can continue to accumulate points and for every 10 additional points you will win another entry into the raffle.
Example –
John Doe reaches 50 points receives his hoody and is entered into the raffle. He is extremely interested in the prizes for the raffle so continues to accumulate points and reaches 72 points. He will receive a total of 3 entries into the raffle.
John Doe reaches 50 points receives his hoody and is entered into the raffle. He decides he would rather go after some other prizes, so his points are reset to zero. He gets 14 points and claims the water bottle.
WHEN DO THE POINTS START AND END? The reward system begins on Tuesday, September 23, 2015 and ends at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
WHEN DO I NEED TO PICK UP MY AWARD? The last day to claim an award is on Monday, December 14 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
DO YOU ROUND UP TO RECEIVE AN AWARD? There is no rounding up for awards only rounding down. For example, if you have 27 points, and want to redeem a prize, we would round down to 20 points.
